Not at loggerheads

A JOINT freight industry initiative aimed at preserving the threatened Loggerhead Turtle species is underway thanks to the efforts of Grindrod International Freight and Mediterranean Shipping Company.
The turtles were recently carried aboard the MSC Ariane from Durban to
Dar es Salaam where they were released to find their way back to their feeding grounds on the African coast, Madagascar or the Seychelles.
The turtles are tagged with satellite transponders to enable scientists to track them and determine their patterns of behaviour.
