New WTO DG Announces Responsibilities of his Senior Leadership Team

On 20 September 2013 the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director-General Roberto Azevêdo announced the responsibilities of his Senior Leadership team. The new Deputy Directors-General begin their service on 01 October 2013. Deputy Director-General Yonov Frederick Agah: Trade Policies Review; Development; and Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation. Deputy Director-General Karl Brauner: Legal Affairs; Rules; and Administration & General Services. Deputy Director-General David Shark: Agriculture & Commodities; Trade and Environment Accessions; Information Technology Solutions; and Languages, Documentation & Information Management. Deputy Director-General Xiaozhun Yi: Market Access; Trade in Services; Intellectual Property; and Economic Research and Statistics. Directly under Director-General Azevêdo are the Appellate Body, Information & External Relations, Human Resources, Office of Internal Audit, Council & TNC, and the Integrated Framework Executive Secretariat. His Chef de Cabinet is Tim Yeend.
