AN INNOVATIVE new concept in tarpaulin covers - a roller-mounted curtain made of heavy-duty polyethlene - can now provide better protection for cargo, as well as ease of use for drivers, according to designers and manufacturers Cargo Carriers. The company recently delivered three custom-designed slider curtain trailers to Baldwins Steel in Vanderbijlpark. They say the new curtain design allows the driver easy access to the cargo for loading and unloading. The drawing of the curtain is easier and faster than loosening and securing a conventional tarpaulin. This saves time and contributes to quicker turnaround times and better security. Another benefit to clients is that their livery can be painted on the curtain, making it a highly visible, moving billboard.
