On 14 May 2026, the South African Revenue Service (Sars) extended an invitation to watch its new video on what is unprofessional conduct, how to report it and what will happen next.

Anyone can report a Tax Practitioner to Sars by completing the Reporting of Unprofessional Conduct (RUC001) form and emailing it to ReportingUnprofessionalConduct@sars.gov.za. Sars has the right to intervene on behalf of the taxpayer.

According to Sars, it is important to remember that it is in taxpayers’ interests to use registered Tax Practitioners. Check on Sars’ online database whether a Tax Practitioner is registered.
