New product an X-factor for clearing ease

EasyClear Cape Town is consolidating its offices in the Western Cape and bringing change to its client base in the region.According to sales manager Michael Henning, this is in line with the more streamlined approach being taken by the company and the growing interest in its web-based solutions.“Our S.a.a.S (sof t wa re as a service) product is gaining traction in the marketplace and we are steadily converting our existing clients from a windows-based solution to this more agile, versatile and accessible web-based solution.“At the same time this product has garnered interest from many corporates who are re-evaluating their current solutions and aligning with trending technologies such as block-chain enabled supply chain and single-window solutions that improve efficiencies within the organisation.”With this in mind, Henning said some changes were required.While he was not able to elaborate on the developments, he said the company remained positive about the Cape thanks to its resilience and ability to weather economic storms.He said there was no denying that the economies in both the Western and Eastern Cape remained under pressure in light of the bleak South African economic forecast. “The poorly performing state entities, slow international growth affected by political tugs-of-war between super powers, instability in the Middle East and low and uncertain oil prices all inf luence trade around the world and play their part in an already depressed South African economy.”He also said the recent closure of Cape To w n’s port due to high winds had further affected trade.“This saw ships simply sailing by, clients missing deadlines for shipped cargo, and of course loss of revenue due to orders not being fulfilled. But Capetonians have a special f lavour of hardiness and the region will weather the storm and regroup.”
