With a container capacity
close to the magic total
of 14 000 teus, the
Mediterranean Shipping
Company (MSC) has just
taken delivery of the MSC
Daniela – its largest
ship ever.
According to information
from Glen Delve, MSC’s
marketing manager in SA,
the new container-carrying
giant will take about 7 382
teus on deck, and 6 416 teus
in the holds.
That gives the ship
an overall capacity of
13 798 teus.
The MSC Daniela is
to be deployed on the Far
East-Europe trade.
