On 19 September 2019, National Treasury announced that Parliament had, at the request of the Minister of Finance, confirmed 30 October as the date for the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS).
The shift in the date from the usual week of 23 October has been necessitated by international commitments by both the Minister of Finance and the President.
