Major box carrier lands coal transport contract

Japanese shipping line Mitsui OSK Lines signed a coal transport contract with Thermal Powertech Corporation India Limited (TPCIL) yesterday (Thursday).

A MOL spokesperson said that the company was anticipating strong growth in demand for coal in India and emerging countries in Asia.

TPCIL owns and operates a 1320-megawatt thermal power plant in India’s Andhra Pradesh state.
