Mozambique Airlines (LAM) has announced that it has acquired two new Embraer 145 aircraft which will fly out of the cities of Nampula and Tete on routes operated by its subsidiary Mozambique Express (MEX), reports news agency, AIM. With these new aircraft LAM now have a dozen planes - three Embraer 190s, a Boeing 737-500, three Bombardier Q400s, two Embraer 145s and three Embraer 120s. LAM also announced that it is adding an extra flight from Maputo to the Angolan capital Luanda. In addition, the airline will now fly directly to Nairobi in Kenya, which used to be served by a flight stopping off in the northern Mozambican city of Pemba.
