A WEEKLY consignment service into Angola is set for launch by Kangela Trading Ð a major trading group in the region. With eleven trading warehouses in Mozambique and two in Angola, Kangela sells and transports a wide range of goods and materials. A large proportion of this is construction materials, said executive Clem dos Santos, with Kangela the agents for PPC in Mozambique, for example. But, moving such large volumes of its own goods, the company identified a gap in the market. “We don’t know of anyone offering a door to door service on a consignment basis,” Dos Santos told FTW. “It’s full container load or nothing.” This, he added, is now to be a niche filled by the group Ð offering its own consignment consolidation service on a weekly schedule.
