Next month will see the
opening of a Durban branch
by wine and beverage logistic
specialists JF Hillebrand, with
a Johannesburg office to follow
shortly.
“It’s part of our initiative
to offer our beverage and
industrial clients a wider
scope of service offerings
by expanding our domestic
footprint,” says managing
director Marliese Martin.
Martin, who took over as MD
in September last year, is upbeat
about the year ahead despite
difficult market conditions.
“Due to the strong rand we
are still experiencing a shift
from bottle to bulk in the
wine industry,” Martin told
FTW. “For the year ahead our
focus will be on cost-effective
solutions for our clients.
“Through the acquisition of
TransOcean in 2007 we have
been able to extend our service
offering to the design and
manufacture of flexitanks for
non-hazardous bulk liquids. The
combined expertise of Trans
Ocean Distribution and JF
Hillebrand enables us to tailor a
full range of service solutions.
“In the current ‘costpressurised’
market conditions,
it is of the utmost importance
that we utilise our expertise in
bottle and bulk logistics to the
best advantage of our clients.”
