THE TRANSIT of a wide variety of game in specialised crating from South Africa to a private zoo in Lubumbashi, DRC, was all in a day’s work for 2-year-old Sibronov Freight Management. The company, which markets itself as a lot more than a freight forwarding agency, provides an all-round operational service from customs clearance of cargo to co-ordination of all ramp facilities, including land clearance, time slots and the refuelling of air transport, says MD Marcel Nowak. Last year it handled 1.7m tons of cargo, ranging from telecoms and mining equipment to general cargo and personal effects, Sibronov was recently appointed general sales and service agent (GSSA) for Wimbi Dira Airways, a Congolese airline based in Kinshasa. “As GSSA for the airline we are committed to providing clients with a professional service and scheduling flights to the DRC at good rates. Within a short period we have managed to quadruple the turnover of our flights.”
