Hamburg Sud sets up Hong Kong headquarters

HAMBURG SUD has established a new regional headquarters in Hong Kong from which it will manage its business in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and South Africa. The company has 12 own offices in Asia based in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Peoples Republic of China while a network of agencies supports business in Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea. The Asian region is headed up by commercial director Frank Smet and financial and logistics director Fred Hubert, who are responsible for the liner services linking Asia with South America, Central America, North America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
