Over 100 participants representing Customs administrations, international organisations and the private sector attended the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Global Conference on Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) and Trade Mis-invoicing on 23 May.
The WCO introduced and discussed its study report on the topic of IFFs and trade mis-invoicing, which is the culmination of many months of empirical analysis and collaboration between administrations, the WCO and other industry experts. The study report was presented as a living document which will be shared with WCO members for their comments and input. The inputs would then be assessed and approved by the WCO Council in June.
