Ghana comes on line with PVOC certification

Global customs certifier Bureau Veritas has announced that as of this month Ghana’s Easy Pass programme is “mandatory for all products that are subject to Pre-export Verification of Conformity (PVoC).

As a result, “physical inspection and conformity documentary assessment will be conducted in the country of export and a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) will be issued for compliant products.”

Another fellow West African nation, Côte d’Ivoire, will relaunch its PVoC programme on February 15.

“Before then exporters may lodge voluntary inspection applications in order to work towards having their product conformity documents reviewed,” according to a Bureau Veritas spokesperson.

Intended participants in the Ivorian process have been asked to get in touch with the bureau at communication@za.bureauveritas.com
