JOHANNESBURG-BASED clearing and forwarding company World Intertrans & Logistics has carved a specialist niche in the movement of personal effects. “We do imports and exports but focus mainly on families coming back to South Africa or leaving,” says MD Janine Duval. “We can do a door to door service such as London to Johannesburg or vice versa. This includes the movement of cars, furniture and clothing.” Most of the personal effects cargo is destined for the US, UK and Australia, while imports come in mainly from the US, Australia and Dubai, she said. These include liquor from Portugal the US and UK, wooden furniture from Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as computer spares. Established in 2002, the company has agents in Durban, PE and CT.
