Flat-Rolled Iron or Steel Dumping Investigation from China – Comment due

On 12 October 2022, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) announced the initiation of an investigation into alleged dumping of other flat-rolled products or iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of 600mm or more, otherwise plated or coated with zinc galvanised steel coil), of a thickness of less than 0.45mm, classifiable in tariff subheading 7210.41.10, originating in or imported from the People’s Republic of China, on which comment is due by 12 November 2022.

The application was lodged by South African Coil Coaters Association (SACCA) a representative organisation for the SACU industry. SACCA members are ArcelorMittal South Africa Limited (AMSA), Safal Steel (Pty) Ltd (Safal) and Duferco Steel Processing (Pty) Ltd (DSP). SACCA constitutes 100% of SACU domestic production of the subject product.

AMSA constitutes a major proportion of total SACU production and thus provided material injury information.
