FREIGHT FORWARDERS are to be given the opportunity to demonstrate their importance in assisting with exhibitions when Exposhop '99 is held at Nasrec, Johannesburg from March 11-14 next year.
Shopfitters, stand designers, specialist lighting and stand contractors, graphic designers, marketers and window display artists are among those exhibiting at the event.
The Exhibition Association of South Africa (EXSA) has accepted the fact that in many instances an exhibition would not be able to go ahead without the involvement of freight forwarders, who are responsible for the transportation of display items to and from domestic and international origins.
The smooth operation of any given exhibition is largely dependent on the expertise of
a shipping team, say the organisers. Target markets for Exposhop '99 include large corporates and marketing personnel who frequently attend exhibitions outside their immediate area. This gives freight forwarders a chance to expand upon their existing client bases.
The exhibition is being arranged by Showplan Exhibitions, Johannesburg.
