On 22 October 2021, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced the phase-down of the rates of customs duty on a number of products (tariff subheading) in Schedule No.1 Part 1 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 in terms of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), effective from 01 January 2022.
