Durban Dig-Out Port Progress

The first phase of the Durban Dig-Out Port will open by 2019 and the fourth phase will be completed by 2036, says director Marc Descoins. Plans include a 16 berth container terminal with an additional 9,6 million teus in container handling capacity. The port will also include an automotive terminal; a liquid bulk handling facility by 2050 and construction of road, rail, and other basic port infrastructure.
