SHIPPERS TO the Democratic Republic of Congo will need to take note of a new regulation for seafreight exports which now require a Certificate of Hold Reservation in order to effect customs/port clearance in that country.
Basfour 262, trading as Trans African Trading, have been appointed the sole official agents to Ogefrem which is the Democratic Republic of Congo's seafreight management bureau.
They can be contacted care of Megafreight Services in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, or through Woker Freight Services in Namibia.
The new ruling applies to all cargo from South Africa and Namibia.
