An invitation has been extended for comment in respect of the potential expiry of the anti-dumping duties on spades and shovels, forks, picks, and rakes imported from or originating in the People’s Republic of China (China). According to a notice issued by the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (Itac), any definitive anti-dumping duty shall be terminated on a date no later than five years from the date of imposition, unless the Itac determines, in a review initiated before that date on its initiative or upon a duly substantiated request made by or on behalf of the domestic industry, that the expiry of the anti-dumping duty would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping and material injury. As a consequence, Itac informs all interested parties that, unless a duly substantiated request is made by or on behalf of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) industry, indicating that the expiry of the anti-dumping duty would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping and material injury, the following anti-dumping duties (originating in China) will expire during 2012: Comment is due by 30 June 2011.
