Cargocare raises the bar

Cargocare Freight
Services has set new
performance measurement
benchmarks for 2013,
hoping to exceed its
delivery time and
document compliance
targets.
“In 2012 we exceeded
by over 2% our 83% target
on airfreight shipment
deliveries within 10 hours
of cargo availability. This
year, the benchmark target
is 85% and I’m confident
we will reach it,” says
Cargocare operations
director, Sue Wood.
Reaching the 98%
target for documentation
delivery was trickier last
year, due to transport
union activity and other
unforeseen circumstances,
with Cargocare achieving
a 93% rating on that.
Wood says the target
remains 98% for 2013.
“Having the right
documentation is so
critical to service delivery
across the supply chain,”
she says.
Wood adds that meeting
service delivery demands
is always tough –
especially with unknown
factors such as global
weather issues which can
compound congestion at
international airports.
