Ray Smuts THAT THE Port of Cape Town is busy as can be was evidenced by nine vessels lying at anchor in Table Bay at sunrise on Monday morning (January 27). Five of these were container ships of which two were due to berth by 16:00, one general cargo and three bunker ships. Harbour master Captain Eddie Bremner said the reason for the build-up was simply that berths were not available. To the credit of the marine services complement 17 vessels were handled in the port between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
