MARINE BUNKER brokers Wilhelmsen Bunkers of Norway and UK-based Premier Marine Fuels are set to merge on January 1, 2007. The new company will be called Wilhelmsen Premier Marine Fuels and will become part of Wilhelmsen Maritime Services, with WMS as the majority owner. Tim Kemp, managing director of Premier Marine Fuels, will control the remaining shares. The new company is expected to have an annual volume of 7 - 8 million tons. A staff of nine brokers will be based in Oslo, six in Singapore, four in London and one in Cape Town. Heading the new company will be Knut Bjørnebye, currently managing director of Wilhelmsen Bunkers. Tim Kemp, will continue to run the UK and Singapore operations. The head office will be based in Oslo.
