There is a growing demand for used reefer containers in Namibia and surrounding countries, says Renald Hite of Walvis Bay-based Camelthorn Freight Forwarding.
As one of the logistics companies specialising in working with frozen cargo out of Walvis Bay, Camelthorn responded to requests for used reefers by starting its own brokerage and sales service.
Such is the demand that reefers are often bought sight unseen, he says. Camelthorn ensures that they are serviced and repaired where necessary before delivery.
