Back from the abyss

“Resourceful” is the
way Zimbabweans like
to describe themselves.
Inevitably, the conversation
turns to how companies
and individuals managed
to survive during the years
of hyper-inflation, the farm
invasions, and now the
threat of “indigenisation”.
Many companies did fail
– with some stuttering back
into business – and many
thousands of skilled people
left the country.
What remains is a core of
toughened, committed and
“resourceful” individuals
and companies – just the
people you want to do
business with.
