In a Government Gazette dated 29 June 2012 the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (Itac) published the “Draft Regulations for the Administration of the Automotive Production Development Programme (APDP)” for comment, which is due by 27 July 2012.
According to the notice, the APDP draft regulations should be read with Rebate Item 317.03 and the information documents which will be published on the South African Revenue Service (Sars) and Itac website respectively.
The implementation of the APDP will be effective from 01 January 2013.
