Australia’s largest container port sold

The Port of Melbourne is Australia’s largest container port.

The Port of Melbourne, Australia’s biggest container port, is to be sold for the equivalent of R98.66 billion, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The buyers are Australia’s second largest fund manager, the QIC conglomerate. The report added that they had won the sale because of their “impressive operational plan” for the port.
