Airlines will continue to bleed

THE WORLD'S airlines lost US$17bn (R170bn) last year and can expect a combined loss of $10bn (R100bn) this year, according to overseas airline analyst, Commerzbank's Chris Terry. Aviation experts suggest that big airlines should reduce their short-haul operations and smaller ones cut back on long-haul flying.
