On 26 January 2024, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) informed of the insertion of Notes in Part F in the General Notes and substitution of Appendix IV to Annex 2 on Rules of Origin in Part F, to implement the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement in Part 1 of Schedule No.1 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 (Ordinary Customs Duty). The Notes are effective from 31 January 2024.
