Transnet has appointed Nonkululeko Dlamini as the new Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She will also serve as an executive director on the board of the organisation.
Dlamini is a CA (SA) and holds a BComm degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Higher Diploma in Accounting (CTA) from the University of Natal (now UKZN). She has spent a number of years in financial roles at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and Eskom.
“In her role as Group CFO, Dlamini will ensure financial prudence across the organisation, manage Transnet’s funding strategy, and ensure the Group’s financial sustainability. For this month Dlamini will be assisting the IDC - where she has served as CFO for the past five years - with the transition and handover process, according to a Transnet statement.
She takes over from Mark Gregg-Macdonald who has been the acting CFO since March this year.
