M&S Logistics is set to
open its own offices in
Dubai in the United Arab
Emirates (UAE) by January
next year to
capitalise on
the growth
opportunities
offered in
this region.
“The
outlook is
positive and
we are
seeing our
current
business
grow and
develop on this route,”
said the Johannesburgbased
managing
director of Africa, India
and the Middle East for
M&S Logistics, Kreason
Pillay.
He told FTW that the
major chemical complex
developed by the Sadara
Chemical Company in
Jubail Industrial City in
Saudi Arabia – parts of
which have already come
online – had created
“massive”
opportunities
for growth in
the Middle
East for M&S
which is
involved in the
transportation
of bulk liquids,
including
chemicals and
lubricants.
According
to Pillay, there
are ongoing distribution
opportunities for chemical
and lubricant products into
and out of the Middle East.
“Jebel Ali – the port
town of Dubai – is proving
to be an ideal hub for
distributing to the world.
And it is efficient,” he
commented.
