Uganda’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has grounded every airline registered in the country following a safety audit by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), according to press reports in Kampala.

After the safety audit, the CAA withdrew the air operator’s certificates (AOCs) for the three airlines Uganda Air Cargo, Air Uganda and Transafrik International.

But soon after, the CAA barred other holders of the Ugandan AOC from operating commercial flights from the country.

These were Ndege Aviation, Kampala Aeroclub and Flight Training Centre (KAFTC), Air Surf and Asante Aviation.
