On 17 April 2024, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) advised that it had made a final determination to recommend to the Trade, Industry and Competition Minister that the current anti-dumping duties on frozen bone-in portions of the species gallus domesticus – chicken for you and me – originating in or imported from the United States of America (USA) - be maintained. The Minister subsequently accepted ITAC’s recommendation.
