SHARMINI NAIDOO has been appointed CEO of the Road Freight Association, having occupied the role in an ‘acting’ capacity since April. She joined the association in April 2005 as the business development manager, which included the financial management portfolio, and is regarded as a key player in the association’s turnaround over the past six months. She makes history for the organisation – not only is she the first woman ever to be appointed as CEO, she is also the youngest person ever to head up the association.
