Mineral Resources Minister Ngoako Ramathlodi is in China promoting the country's diamond industry to ensure that South Africa remains an attractive investment destination of choice.

"In addition, the country will be showcasing, through the national pavilion launched in 2013, jewellery and gem products by 20 South African entrepreneurs," the department of mineral resources said in a statement

Ramathlodi led a delegation to the Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair which started on Wednesday and ends on Saturday

“The fair is an effective channel to tap into the Asian market, including the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong markets," the department said.
