AN AIR France pilot was bailed by a US court last Sunday after being arrested at New York’s John F Kennedy Airport where he is alleged to have told security staff that he had a bomb in his shoes, reports Airwise.com Philip Revere is said to have made the remark as a joke, but it led to an appearance before a judge and he will answer to two counts of falsely reporting an incident at a hearing later this month. If the 50-year-old co-pilot is found guilty he could face a prison term of up to 11 years. Revere was due to be in the cockpit of an Air France flight from New York to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, but the Friday evening service was cancelled after he was detained, according to the Airwise report.
