CRUCIAL ISSUES facing South Africa’s society and economy will be the central focus of the SA Chamber of Commerce and Business (Sacob) annual conference to be held at Caesar’s from October 12-14. Monday October 13 is open day. Lindiwe Hendricks, deputy minister of Trade & Industry, will discuss the government perspective on broad-based black economic empowerment while Denis Worrall, former ambassador to the United Kingdom and currently chairman of Omega Investment Research, will consider US/SA relations, including the benefits of AGOA and the proposed US/SACU FTA.
