Mozambique and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week in Dubai signed a two-way air transport service agreement, according to Mozambican daily newspaper Notícias.

This agreement is the culmination of over seven years of negotiations and consultations, the last round of which was held on May 14/15 in Dubai, at which Mozambique had a delegation led by the chairman of the Civil Aviation Institute, Captain João Abreu.

This agreement is the first that Mozambique has signed with a confederation that brings together several countries and airlines.

The UAE include seven states and under the terms of the agreement it has designated five airlines including Emirates Airlines, Etihad Airways and Rakairways, and Mozambique is due soon to name the airline to be included in the agreement, reports macauhub.
