Harvesters combine the world

BUILT IN Finland, forwarding arranged in England, brokered in Moscow, cleared in Durban, destined for Lesotho and paid for by Japan.
Nothing illustrates the concept of globalisation like a recent aid shipment of 15 combine harvesters to Lesotho.
The harvesters, worth approximately R7,5 million, started their journey in Finland and arrived aboard MACS' Diamond Land in Durban last month.
Tomen Corporation, one of Japan's larger trading organisations, was awarded the tender to supply the machines. They were financed by a grant received by the government of Lesotho from Japan to contribute to the increase of food production.
