On 29 November, the South African Revenue Service (Sars) announced the amendment of item 200.08 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 for places where container depots may be established, namely Cape Town, Durban, East London, Germiston, Johannesburg, Komatipoort, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, Richards Bay and Saldanha Bay.
