OSCAR BORCHARDS, the former Business Unit Manager Multi-Purpose Terminal in Port Elizabeth, has taken up a new appointment in Cape Town.
He will be responsible for heading up the Multi-Purpose Terminal as well as the strategic business positioning of the terminal.
"One of my key priorities is employee development. My proudest achievement is helping people to find their purpose through input, influence and direction from me as a leader and manager. I also support improving relations between management and unions, and have always been passionate about this aspect of HR relations," says Borchards.
His position in Port Elizabeth will be advertised, according to Port Operations spokesperson Sindie Ndwalaza. Leigh Juries, who is presently the Continuous Improvement Manager, will be acting business unit manager until a new appointment has been made.
