Lusaka is “one of the best
destinations to transport to
as it does not have all the
problems you normally come
across with other destinations,”
says Mahaveer Chavda, CEO of
Chavda Freight.
Clearance through the
Beitbridge and Chirundu border
posts take about two days each,
according to Chavda.
The Gauteng-based company
provides a door-to-door service
for consignments of any size to
and from anywhere in the world,
with exports into Africa its main
business target.
Chavda says volumes into
Zambia are growing rapidly, and
return loads are also on the rise.
“This is why we are able to offer
competitive rates, he said.
Chavda is optimistic about the
growth potential for both imports
and exports.
