On 03 August 2026, the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) invited interested companies to apply for funding to participate in an Outward Selling and Investment Mission (OSIM) to Istanbul, Turkey from 28 to 30 September 2026 to promote South African value-added goods and services and attract investments.

Explore and diversify your export markets outward selling mission to Turkey from 28 to 30 September 2026
The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) invites interested companies to apply for funding to participate in an Outward Selling and Investment Mission (OSIM) to Istanbul, Turkey from 28 to 30 September 2026 to promote South African value-added goods and services and attract investments.
The mission will comprise a business seminar, B2B meetings, as well as site visits.
Targeted sectors: machinery, electrotechnical and capital equipment.
Entities that wish to apply for EMIA funding to participate in this event must:
- Have been in business for at least two years.
- Acquired proven business track record.
- Be competitive in the South African market.
- Be export-ready and/or have exported previously.
- Have the capacity to timeously supply any export orders resulting from the OSM.
- Have a valid and active tax clearance certificate and compliant contributor B-BBEE certificate level 1-8.
How to apply:
- Applications for EMIA funding must be emailed to: OSMTurkey2026@thedtic.gov.za and not to email addresses for enquiries.
- Only electronic applications submitted in a ZIP folder to the above email address will be processed.
- No WeTransfer or similar file-sharing links are permitted, as they expire and cannot be reliably tracked.
- The subject line of the email must include the event name and date.
- Please ensure that only one application is submitted per email.
- Applications close on 10 August 2026.
The dtic will provide:
- Economy class return airfare up to a predetermined maximum amount.
- Daily accommodation up to a predetermined maximum amount (bed and breakfast only).
- Excess luggage allowance for samples up to R2,500 per delegate.
