Motorists can expect to pay more for fuel next month, the Automobile Association (AA) has revealed.
According to reports, the AA said that petrol was likely to increase by between 9 and 16 cents a litre, diesel by up to 48 cents, and illuminating paraffin by 43 cents.
Commenting on the unaudited month-end fuel price data released by the Central Energy Fund, the AA said that even though the rand had gained some strength against the US dollar during this month, the rise in the international oil price was dragging the local fuel prices down, resulting in predicted increases going into August.
