The European Union (EU) remains the top import market for South African grapefruit and navel oranges at 166 000 tonnes, the Citrus Growers’ Association (CGA) has reported.
According to the latest CGA report, the Middle East imported 140 000 tonnes this year, down from 143 000 tonnes recorded during the same period last year.
Russia imported 37 000 tonnes this year, an increase on the 35 000 tonnes recorded last year.
South East Asia and North America recorded the lowest imports at 24 000 tonnes.
